IT Support Engineer - Salt Lake City, UT

Job Description

The IT Support Engineer manages the company’s redundant systems, tools, automation, network infrastructure, and telecommunications.

Primary Responsibilities
• Developing, maintaining and executing an IT strategy for the organization that optimizes productivity through the cost-effective use of vendors, technologies, automation, security, and network performance.
• Collaborating with company leadership to align corporate goals with IT services.
• Revising and publishing formal IT strategy documents as needed.
• Collaborating with external partners to design, implement, and maintain integrations across our vendors for both internal and external systems.
• Supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting real-time redundant data centers.
• Maintaining and improving a set of controls to protect the company from a variety of potential threats including viruses, malware, and other security / access risks.
• Providing basic support to the user community including resolving issues with PCs / printers, answering questions from users, providing guidance, and escalating issues to vendors and management, as needed.
• Other duties as needed.

Basic Qualifications

Physical Requirements
• Ability to see and hear clearly
• Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English clearly
• Ability to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl
• Ability to regularly push/pull up to 40 pounds
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 40 pounds

Other Requirements
• Strong skills in information technology: PCs, Microsoft Office Suite, and End Point Protection.
• Ability to operate computer and type effectively
• Ability to write legibly
• Ability to pass drug screen
• Ability to pass criminal history records check and airport badging requirements

Experience
• 3-5 years experience in an IT support role

Education
• Technical degree or certification in Information Technology
