Job Description

The Director, Flight Operations fosters existing customer relationships and cultivates new opportunities in Charter & Management operations in accordance to FAR 91/Part 135 flight operations while maximizing fleet operations.

Primary Responsibilities
• Directing safety and training efforts for pilots, flight crew and flight coordinators
• Coordinating fleet maintenance and ensuring compliance with all applicable FARs
• Writing, reviewing, and maintaining operating records and manuals
• Overseeing charter sales, flight support and scheduling, and business development efforts
• Ensuring compliance with FAA requirements including pilot rest and duty and operational control
• Resolving problems and conflicts affecting business operations and staff performance
• Maintaining FAA Operations Specifications and serving as FAA liaison
• Serving as Aircraft Operator Security Coordinator under TFSSP
• Supervising Flight Department staff
• Other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Physical Requirements
• Ability to see and hear clearly
• Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English clearly
• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 10 pounds

Other Requirements
• 10 years aviation experience
• 5 years managing flight operations for Part 125 operation
• Meet requirements of 14 CFR 119.69(a)(1)(2)
• Knowledge and experience with FAA regulations pertaining to personal and corporate aircraft
• Knowledge and experience with US customs entry/exit procedures as well as international h handling
• Leadership experience with a focus on internal talent development
• Ability to travel internationally
• Ability to write legibly
• Ability to operate computer and type effectively
• Ability to pass drug screen
• Ability to pass criminal history records check and airport badging requirements
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and passport

Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Business or related field
• Master’s degree preferred
