Transportation Security Screeners provide frontline security for travelers and aircraft in an effort to coordinate and maintain security involving aviation transportation in compliance with TSA and FAA regulations.
Primary Responsibilities
• Screening travelers in conjunction with Transportation Security Administration (TSA) Private Charter Security Screening Protocol (PCSSP) and regulations
• Gathering intelligence and searching for weapons, drugs, and other contraband that risk safe travel
• Identifying and ceasing emerging transportation security threats by utilizing variety of techniques and equipment to search travelers and luggage
• Educating travelers about TSA regulations while providing customer service to travelers
• Assisting in the efficient flow of passengers through screening checkpoints
• Maintaining communication at all times with supervisors regarding vulnerable areas of security
• Controlling passenger entry into security checkpoints
• Reviewing passenger manifests against watch lists
• Other duties as assigned
