Job Description

TAC Air is currently seeking a part-time A&P Mechanic.

Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) Mechanics work with team members to provide general maintenance for a variety of commercial aircraft.

Primary Responsibilities
• Inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing parts and equipment while operating tools and machinery safely
• Working closely with all team members, crew members, and/or maintenance control operators to ensure adherence to proper maintenance procedures
• Running regular maintenance checks on airframe and engines to ensure all components are working to full capacity
• Accurately maintain aircraft logbooks, service orders, and other systems as necessary
• Ensuring the accuracy of information through various means of communication (radio, telephone, electronic, etc.)
• Performing other duties as assigned

Basic Qualifications

Physical Requirements
• Ability to see and hear clearly
• Ability to read, comprehend, and speak English clearly
• Ability to climb, twist, bend, crouch, stoop, kneel, and crawl
• Ability to move in tight quarters
• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods
• Ability to work in all weather conditions as needed
• Ability to regularly push/pull up to 75 pounds
• Ability to regularly lift/move up to 75 pounds

Other Requirements
• Must possess a valid driver’s license
• Ability to operate computer and type effectively
• Ability to write legibly
• Ability to work at elevated heights
• Ability to operate variety of tools, machines, and equipment
• Ability to pass drug screen
• Ability to pass criminal history records check and airport badging requirements
• Available for call outs on nights, weekends, and holidays

Education
• High school diploma or GED

Experience
• 2+ years verifiable airline line maintenance experience on CRJ 200, 700 900 and EMB 145, 135, 175 preferred
• 4+ years Military Aviation experience with A&P license encouraged to apply

• Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (Ref-FAR 65.83)
