Summary
The Director, Operations (DO) is responsible for oversight and guidance of multiple FBO locations including formulation and execution of strategic business plans. Oversight includes support of local management with customer relations, safety, financial performance, contracts, airport regulations, facility maintenance, and company goals.
**This position travels frequently nationwide.
Primary Responsibilities
Provides operational support to an assigned region in areas including operations, maintenance, safety, and process improvement
Plans, directs, and coordinates activities relating to FBO operations in accordance with company and regulatory policies, policies, and regulations
Establishes a culture that promotes safety and compliance with corporate and regulatory guidelines
Assists General Managers in managing FBO budgets, expenditures, and appropriate staffing and service levels
Supports and leads local management team in coaching, counseling, disciplining, and evaluating employee performance
Assists General Managers in the preparation, negotiation, and enforcement of operating budgets, expenditures, contracts, and tenant agreements
Conducts ongoing analysis of competition including service offerings and price competitiveness
Creates new opportunities by developing relationships with customers, tenants, and airport authorities
Works with airport authorities on negotiation and execution of lease agreements
Supports capital budgeting process through planning and execution of airport construction projects
Leads company communications and necessary training supporting customer service and safety initiatives
Motivates and encourages all employees within division to provide the highest service levels
Collaborate and coordinate the development phase of capital program and leasehold development initiatives with divisional staff to maximize returns and support operation

Other Requirements
Experience and knowledge of general aviation operations
Understanding of regulations and guidelines applicable to aircraft line service operations
In-depth knowledge of all refueling equipment and procedures
Working knowledge of FlightAware and Total FBO
Ability to tow all general aviation aircraft
Ability to interact well with local/state/federal governmental personnel and agencies
Ability to operate computer and type effectively
Ability to write legibly
Ability to interpret financial income statements and various performance metrics
Must possess a valid US drivers license
Must pass background check
Must be able to attain and retain badging for airport access
Ability to pass drug screen
Minimum Requirements
Documented experience overseeing multiple FBO locations
10+ years relevant work experience
10+ years managerial experience managing resources and professionals
Thorough knowledge and understanding of aviation industry and FBO operations
Experience implementing business plans and strategic guidelines
Experience developing and managing company policy and operational guidelines
High School diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's Degree in Business, Aviation Management or related field preferred
