The Sr. Manager, Accounting & Finance assists the Controller and Chief Financial Officer in planning, organizing, coordinating, and executing accounting, reporting, and financial planning activities. This role serves as strategic partner for other departments and confirms month-end reporting and tax-related requirements are completed accurately.
The ideal candidate possesses leadership capabilities, solid operational and technical accounting background, and works proactively to drive results. This person is a self-starter, flexible, has a high level of integrity, and is action and goal-oriented in a fast-paced, team-oriented, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
*Creates accurate and efficient reporting and data collection schedules
*Assists in developing, preparing, and reviewing financial statements and reports
*Partners with Management to coordinate audits and reconciliation procedures
*Identifies discrepancies in accounting statements; reviews internal controls for compliance with company policies
*Assists in managing external financial agents and tax officials; collaborates to compile information for preparation of tax returns
*Partners with external auditors to ensure successful audit results and compliance
*Participates in the preparation of budgets and coordination of audit schedules
*Reviews and advises on financial/accounting processes
*Serves as backup to Controller and Chief Financial Officer
*Other duties as needed
Requirements
*7+ years’ experience in lead accounting role, private company experience preferred
*Expert proficiency in MS Excel formulas, pivot tables, V-lookup, etc.
*Ability to write legibly
*Ability to operate computer and type effectively
*Ability to pass drug screen
Education
*Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Master’s degree a plus
Required Licenses/Certifications
*Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
